Struggling with the new Atuin Hub

Hi all! I have been using and loving Atuin for years. I just went to set up a new machine and it’s forcing me to log into the hub.

  • I can’t seem to use my current credentials to login
  • Password reset isn’t sending E-mail (I use Fastmail)
  • Can’t seem to sign up with my existing credentials

So I’m stuck. Thoughts? Is it possible to bypass the hub and just keep enjoying that sweet sweet atuin history sync? :slight_smile:

Hey!

You should be able to use your existing credentials, as it is just a new interface for the same store - are you getting any kind of error?

Yeah this won’t work until the account is auto-migrated to the hub, it’s actually part of why we’ve moved the auth. I had so many emails from people struggling with the old system.

Yes - if you pass the --username flag to the atuin login command you can login via the terminal still

It was PEBKAC. I had an obviously stale entry in my password manager, and I obviously managed to fling myself around enough that I thought I’d tried all the passwords I knew manually but I hadn’t.

I’ve cleaned house in password manager land and everything’s working great. Thanks again.
