It would be great if one could pick a command in the TUI and use <Ctrl-D>
or <Ctrl-DEL>
right there to delete a command. I tried using <Ctrl-o>
and then <Ctrl-d>
, but that doesn’t work and I installed atuin on 12-10-2024. You type bad commands all the time that fail to work and want to remove them so your history isn’t full of garbage commands.
You should be able to do one of the following
- open the inspector with ctrl-o, then ctrl-d (though that doesn’t seem to work for you?
- use the prefix, and then d - so ctrl-a, d
- use
atuin search
with the--delete
flag. Make sure to test it before running delete
Terminals don’t usually work in a way that lets us do things like ctrl-del reliably, I’m afraid.
The ctrl-a, d
works great. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
